Tomorrow is a big day for me. Not a HUGE day, but a big day just the same.
Tomorrow will mark 6 weeks that I have been soda free. Let me say that again because it is just awesome to be able to say. Tomorrow I will have gone without any soda for 6 full weeks. WOO HOO!! As you can tell, I’m pretty darn proud of myself. I didn’t realize I’d ever be able to say that. I also didn’t realize how easy it would be.
I had a couple minor headaches in the beginning but other than that, I don’t really miss it. I drink way more water now and I’m sure my innards appreciate the freedom from sugar and empty calories. I’m also pretty positive that my organs are overjoyed by the extra hydration that they have been getting.
I’m slowly working towards being healthier. I’m trying to make the changes over time so that they are easier to stick with. Too much change, too quickly, could just set me up to fail. By adding things one at a time will allow me time to adjust to each new addition. Therefore, hopefully setting myself up for success.
